Virtualization
VMware vSphere
Available nowThe same machine lifecycle you have on Proxmox, on the VMware estate you already run.
Provibr connects to your vCenter Server and manages the machines in its inventory. Your plans and address pools carry straight over.
- Console access
- Disks and network cards
- Usage metrics
- Install from a template
- Addresses from an IPAM pool
- Reinstall in place
- Suspend and resume
What you need
- A vCenter Server, reachable from the machine your agent runs on
- A user of its own with a role on the datacentre it manages
- A template with VMware Tools and cloud-init, to clone from
What it does
It connects to vCenter Server, not to standalone ESXi hosts, and refuses one up front rather than failing at your first order.
The same lifecycle
Create from a template, start, stop, reset, shut down and reboot through VMware Tools, suspend, resume and remove.
The same agent
No second connector. An agent that already manages Proxmox carries a vSphere integration next to it.
Placement stays vCenter's job
Point a plan at a resource pool and DRS keeps choosing the host. Where DRS is off, name the host yourself.
Where this stands
Live. Tested against vCenter 6.7. Adding disks and network adapters to an existing machine is not built yet.

Start with one host and one agent
Create an account, install the agent with a single command and connect your first Proxmox host. The trial runs for 14 days and asks for no payment details.
