What you need
- A DirectAdmin server the agent host can reach, over http or https on port 2222
- A login key for an account that may create users (the panel shows which API commands to allow)
- At least one hosting package defined on that server
What it does
A hosting account is a managed resource like any other: a page, a history, a usage graph and a place in your capacity.
The account lifecycle
Create an account with a username, a domain, a contact address and one of your own packages. Suspend it, move it to another package, or remove it.
A key that can barely do anything
DirectAdmin login keys can be limited to an explicit list of API commands, an IP address, an expiry date and a number of uses. No other control panel offers this.
Counted and priced like everything else
Hosting accounts are their own resource type with their own price, and a suspended account does not count towards your limit.
Where this stands
Live. Account provisioning and the usage graphs work; managing the DirectAdmin server itself does not exist yet.
