Virtualization
oVirt
Available nowSell VPS from the KVM data centre you already run, through one engine API.
Provibr talks to the oVirt engine API from an agent inside your network, with an account you create.
- Console access
- Disks and network cards
- Usage metrics
- Install from a template
- Addresses from an IPAM pool
- Suspend and resume
What you need
- An oVirt engine the agent can reach over HTTPS, with a cluster and a storage domain
- An oVirt account for the agent: there is no revocable API token, so it is a username and password
- A Linux host in the same network for the agent, and an oVirt template to clone
What it does
Machines come from the same plans and the same audit trail as the rest, and the ones already on your engine can be imported.
The full machine lifecycle
Clone a template, start, stop, suspend, resume and remove. Grow or add a disk, attach or detach a network card.
One engine in front of every host
One address and one account for the whole estate: the engine decides which host runs a machine.
Addresses and plans
A plan ties cores, memory and disk to an address pool; the address goes back when the machine is gone.
Where this stands
Live. Machines, disks, network cards, the console and the usage graphs work. Reinstalling and per-machine firewall rules do not.
Other integrations
Start with one host and one agent
Create an account, install the agent with a single command and connect your first Proxmox host. The trial runs for 14 days and asks for no payment details.
