Virtualization

OpenNebula

OpenNebula

On the roadmap

Sell and bill your OpenNebula capacity from the same panel as the rest of your fleet.

OpenNebula is already an orchestration layer of its own, with its own users, groups and quotas. Provibr would not replace any of that: it would connect to the central API in front of your zones, from an agent inside your own network, so what runs there appears next to everything else you sell.

What is planned

  • Order of work: with the other virtualization targets, and nothing fixed within that group
  • An OpenNebula deployment the agent can reach over its API, with an account you create yourself
  • No date committed, and it is not part of what you buy today

Where this stands

Roadmap. Nothing is built. If you already sell OpenNebula capacity, tell us how you meter it today. That is the part worth getting right first.

What it does

Nothing works today. It is on this page because the fit is about commerce rather than control: your cloud keeps its own model, and the panel adds the ordering, the metering and the invoice.

  • One order flow across the whole fleet

A customer orders from a plan, and where the machine lands is your decision rather than theirs. One catalogue, one basket, one panel, whichever platform ends up running it.

  • Your tenancy model stays yours

The users, groups and quotas inside OpenNebula keep doing what they do. Provibr would sit in front of it with an account you create, not underneath it rearranging how your cloud is organised.

  • Metered and invoiced with the rest

Machines under management count in your capacity and land on the same invoice as your Proxmox or hosting resources, so there are no two billing runs to reconcile by hand.
