Provibr vs Tenantos
Two server management platforms with different centres of gravity: bare metal and self-hosted, or control panels and SaaS. Plus where each one wins.
By Provibr
Short version, so you can stop reading early if it applies to you:
- You sell dedicated servers from your own racks. Tenantos. Not close: metal you own is coming soon here rather than shipping, and a page that pretended otherwise would waste your afternoon.
- You sell VPS, web hosting and game servers from control panels. Provibr. Tenantos does not integrate hosting or game panels.
- Nothing may leave your network. Tenantos, which is self-hosted. Our agent dials out to a platform we run, and no amount of architecture talk changes that.
- You have fewer than fifty servers. Provibr, by arithmetic: Tenantos's entry tier has a fifty-server minimum.
Everything below is the reasoning behind those four lines.
What each one is built around
Tenantos is a bare-metal-first platform. Hardware discovery, IPMI power control, PXE operating-system reloads, RAID configuration and serial console are the product, with VPS management alongside it. Network and power are first-class objects: switches, PDUs and VLAN automation are in the box.
Tenantos states that switches, PDUs and user accounts do not incur charges and can be added without limit.
Provibr is a panel-first platform. Hypervisors for virtual machines, control panels for hosting accounts and game panels for game servers run side by side. They share one API, one permission model and one capacity figure.
That difference decides most of the comparison. If your inventory is racks, Tenantos is the shape of your problem. If your inventory is accounts inside panels, we are.

Where Tenantos wins, plainly
Bare metal, end to end. A dedicated server in your own rack has a lifecycle that is coming soon rather than shipping here: discover the hardware, flip power over IPMI, reload the OS over PXE, configure RAID, hand over a serial console. It is on our roadmap and it is priced in our model, and it is not manageable today. If racks of your own hardware are what you sell, this is the entire comparison and Tenantos wins it.
Rented machines beyond Hetzner and InterServer. Tenantos manages boxes at Hetzner and OVH next to your own. We drive rented machines too: Hetzner Cloud, and InterServer for both VPS and dedicated servers. That is the entire list, OVH is not on it, and a rented fleet at a provider we do not integrate is theirs to manage and not ours.
Network and power as products, not roadmap. Switches, PDUs and VLAN automation exist there and are on our list here. A roadmap is not a feature and we do not price it as one.
It stays inside your network. Tenantos is self-hosted. If "no third party in the path" is a requirement rather than a preference, we do not qualify. See the architecture for what our agent does and does not send, but the requirement is the requirement.
Deep reseller trees. Unlimited nesting versus our one level. If you sell through resellers who sell through resellers, that is a real gap.
Where Provibr wins
Panels are the product, not an afterthought. Eight web hosting panels and six game panels, each with its own real lifecycle (create, suspend, resume, change package, delete) and each measured against the actual API rather than assumed from the docs. That is where our integration research went.
Nothing listens on the internet. The agent connects outbound to us; you open no port and run no VPN for us. On a shared web server that is the difference between a management plane and an attack surface.
You can start with one server. Tenantos's cheapest tier begins at fifty.
Tenantos lists three tiers: Minimal Support at €0.50 per server per month with a 50-server minimum, Standard Support at €0.75 per server per month with a 100-server minimum, and Enterprise at individual pricing with an 800-server minimum.
Suspension frees capacity. A suspended server stops counting towards what you pay for. That matters most in exactly the situation where a hoster is losing money anyway: an unpaid account you have not yet decided to delete.
About the prices: they are not comparable, and here is why
Tenantos charges per server per month, with a floor. Provibr charges per resource per month, where a resource is a VM, a hosting account, a game server or a dedicated server, and where the four are priced differently.
| Provibr | Indicative price |
|---|---|
| Virtual machine | €0.20 / month |
| Web server | €0.10 / month |
| Game server | €0.10 / month (less from 50) |
| Dedicated server | €0.40 / month |
On a rack of fifty dedicated machines, Tenantos costs €25 a month and Provibr cannot do the job yet. On a Proxmox node carrying eighty VPS plus a shared server with three hundred hosting accounts, the sums land somewhere else entirely, and the honest answer is that you have to do that arithmetic with your own inventory, because a comparison that picks the flattering scenario is not a comparison.
Both offer a 14-day trial without payment details.
What neither of us does
Neither product bills your customers. Tenantos and Provibr both sit underneath the billing system: invoices, dunning, VAT and the customer's shopping cart stay in WHMCS, Blesta, HostBill or whatever you run. If billing is the thing that hurts, read this first: the answer is probably neither of us.
Frequently asked questions
Which one manages dedicated servers?
Tenantos, and it is not close. Hardware discovery, IPMI power control, PXE operating-system reloads, RAID configuration and a serial console are its home ground; metal you own is on Provibr's roadmap and coming soon rather than shipping. The dedicated servers Provibr does drive today are rented ones at InterServer, through that provider's API rather than through your IPMI.
Can I start with fewer than fifty servers?
With Provibr, yes: the entry point is one resource. Tenantos lists a 50-server minimum on its cheapest tier, 100 on the next and 800 on Enterprise, checked on 21 August 2026.
Does either of them bill my customers?
Neither does. Both sit underneath the billing system: invoices, dunning, VAT and the shopping cart stay in WHMCS, Blesta, HostBill or whatever you already run.
What if nothing may leave my own network?
Then Tenantos, which is self-hosted. Provibr's agent dials out to a platform we run, and no amount of architecture talk changes that. If it is a requirement rather than a preference, we do not qualify.
