Provibr vs VirtFusion

VirtFusion is a virtualization control panel; Provibr manages panels of every kind above one. An honest comparison, including what VirtFusion does not publish.

By Provibr

Before the comparison, a caveat that belongs at the top rather than in a footnote: VirtFusion publishes less about itself than the other products on this site. We checked the public pages on 21 August 2026 and could not confirm a price, and the marketing pages do not enumerate supported hypervisors.

That is not an accusation: plenty of good B2B software sells through a conversation rather than a pricing table. But it does mean this page compares less than the Tenantos and SolusVM ones, and we would rather say that than fill the gaps with guesses.

VirtFusion describes itself as "a modern virtualization control panel for hosting providers" and, in its documentation, as "a B2B platform designed specifically for service providers and hosting professionals".

VirtFusion's pricing page did not display tiers, rates or minimums when checked on 21 August 2026.

The part that is clear

The layer question decides most of it, and that part needs no pricing table.

VirtFusion is a virtualization control panel: it runs virtual machines on your nodes, and that is its centre of gravity. Provibr is a layer above panels: it drives Proxmox VE, VMware vSphere and oVirt for virtual machines, the LXC containers Proxmox runs, plus the web hosting panels and game panels beside them, and turns the lot into one inventory with one permission model and one capacity figure.

So the same rule applies as with every other product in this category:

  • VPS is your only product, on your own hardware. A virtualization panel does the job on its own. Ours would be a second system for a problem you do not have.
  • A second product type appears. Shared hosting, game servers, resellers with their own limits. That is when one inventory starts to be worth something.

How to read this tableAvailable nowOn the roadmapNot published

Two rows are empty on purpose. A comparison table that fills unknowns with a dash and lets you read it as "no" is a trick, so: "Not published" means we could not check, not that the answer is bad. Ask them.

Where we would send you elsewhere

If your virtual machines do not run on Proxmox VE, VMware vSphere or oVirt, we cannot manage them. That single row disqualifies us for a share of VPS providers, and it does so before any other consideration. Virtualizor speaks seven virtualization technologies; we speak three, plus the LXC containers Proxmox runs.

And if VPS is genuinely all you sell, the layer above is overhead. We would rather you kept your money than bought a second dashboard for a single-panel estate.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this page compare less than the other ones?

Because VirtFusion publishes less about itself. We checked the public pages on 21 August 2026 and could not confirm a price, and the marketing pages do not enumerate supported hypervisors. We would rather say that than fill the gaps with guesses.

Does Provibr work if my virtual machines are not on Proxmox, vSphere or oVirt?

No. Virtual machines reach us through Proxmox VE, VMware vSphere or oVirt, and on Proxmox that includes LXC containers. Anything else disqualifies us before any other consideration.

When is a virtualization panel on its own the right answer?

When VPS is your only product, on your own hardware. A layer above would be a second dashboard for a single-panel estate, and we would rather you kept your money.
