Tenantos alternatives: an honest comparison from a competitor
Tenantos alternatives compared by a direct competitor: where its bare-metal depth and per-server minimums decide it, and where another shape fits better.
By Provibr
Of every page on this site, this is the one where our conflict of interest is worst. Tenantos and Provibr are in the same category: the layer that sits above your panels and turns infrastructure into something you can sell. We are a direct competitor and you should assume we are biased.
So here is the deal for this page: the section on where Tenantos beats us comes before the section on where we beat them, it is specific, and it is not hedged. If that section describes your business, close the tab and go buy Tenantos.
What Tenantos is
Tenantos describes itself as "one platform to provision, manage and automate dedicated servers, bare metal and VPS" (tenantos.com, checked 21 August 2026). Self-hosted, installed in your own data centre.
What it drives, from its own site: dedicated servers with IPMI-KVM, power management and PXE OS reloads; Proxmox and VMware environments; servers rented from external providers such as Hetzner and OVH; and network infrastructure including switches, PDUs and VLAN automation. On top of that a multi-tenant reseller system with unlimited nesting levels, more than 5,000 granular permissions, NoVNC console access, SNMP bandwidth accounting, IPv4/IPv6 address management and white-labelling. Billing integrations are documented for WHMCS, hostware and HostBill.
That is a serious product with a clear centre of gravity, and the centre of gravity is metal.
Where Tenantos beats us. Specifically.
Bare metal, end to end. Hardware discovery, IPMI power control, PXE operating-system reloads, RAID configuration, serial console. Provibr has metal you own on the roadmap and priced in the model, and not manageable today. If racks of your own hardware are what you sell, this is not a close comparison. It is the entire comparison, and Tenantos wins it.
Rented servers beyond Hetzner and InterServer. Tenantos manages machines at Hetzner and OVH alongside your own. Provibr drives rented machines too: Hetzner Cloud, and InterServer for both VPS and dedicated servers. That is the entire list, OVH is not on it, and a rented fleet at a provider we do not integrate is Tenantos territory.
Network and power as first-class objects. Switches, PDUs and VLAN automation are in the product, and its pricing page says switches, PDUs and user accounts are free and unlimited. We have network devices and power distribution on the roadmap, not in the product.
Reseller depth. Unlimited nesting levels and more than 5,000 granular permissions. Provibr has reseller packages (a member of your account carrying their own resource limits and their own slice of servers), but that is one level, not an arbitrary tree.
It stays inside your network. Tenantos is self-hosted. Provibr is SaaS with an agent on your host. If "no third party in the path" is a requirement rather than a preference, we do not qualify and no amount of architecture explains that away.
Five real advantages, and they are not small. If two or more of them describe you, stop reading.
The one number that decides it for smaller shops
Tenantos licenses per server: dedicated servers, virtual machines on Proxmox or VMware, and servers at external providers all count. Taken from tenantos.com/pricing on 21 August 2026:
| Tier | Price per server | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Minimal Support | €0.50/month | 50 servers |
| Standard Support | €0.75/month | 100 servers |
| Enterprise | Custom | 800 servers |
Prices exclude VAT. There is a 14-day trial with no card required, and the page states that minimums cannot be lowered and that no discounts are offered.
Per-server pricing at €0.50 is genuinely inexpensive at scale. The minimum is the thing to look at: below fifty servers you pay for fifty regardless. For a shop with a dozen machines that is not a pricing objection so much as a signal about who the product is built for, and it is answered honestly and up front, which is more than most vendors in this space manage.

SynergyCP and EasyDCIM are named because they are the other credible answers in the bare-metal half of this category, not because we compete with them. Read from vendor sites, the WHMCS Marketplace listing and product documentation on 21 August 2026; Not published means we did not check that row for that product and are not going to guess.
Which one, for which situation
Buy Tenantos if dedicated servers are your business, you have fifty or more of them, and you want the control plane inside your own data centre. That is what it was built for and it shows.
Buy Tenantos if you resell through partners who resell through partners. Unlimited nesting is a genuine differentiator and nobody else on this page matches it.
Look at SynergyCP or EasyDCIM if you want bare-metal automation but Tenantos is not the fit. Both are established in that space with WHMCS and HostBill modules.
Look at Virtualizor if it is really only VPS, on mixed virtualization, and you want the cheapest per-node route.
Look at Provibr if the machines you sell are virtual machines, hosting accounts and game servers rather than metal, and especially if you sell more than one of those.
Where we fit
Provibr covers a different axis of the same problem. Tenantos goes deep on one kind of resource; we go wide across panels.
Live today are hypervisors for virtual machines, control panels for hosting accounts, game panels for game servers, and rented machines at Hetzner Cloud and InterServer. All of them land in one server list, count towards one capacity figure and appear on one invoice. A hoster selling VPS, shared hosting and Minecraft servers is normally running three control planes; that is the situation we exist for, and it is not the situation Tenantos addresses.
Two structural differences worth naming:
The agent dials outward. It runs on a Linux host inside your network and opens the connection to us, so there is no inbound port and no VPN, and it works the same behind NAT or a firewall you do not control. Credentials for your infrastructure are sealed in a vault on that host; the platform stores the field names and never the values.
No minimum. Capacity is prepaid per resource, per month, and the smallest account you can have is one resource. There is a trial with no payment details. At fifty servers the arithmetic between the two products gets interesting; at twelve it does not, and that is a deliberate choice about who we are for.
The honest summary
Tenantos is the better product for bare metal, for rented machines outside Hetzner and InterServer, for switches and power, and for deep reseller trees. We are the better fit if what you sell runs on panels, and especially on more than one kind of panel, or if you are below the point where a fifty-server minimum makes sense.
Those two descriptions do not overlap much. That is the useful thing to take away from a comparison written by a competitor.
